Valentine's Day with my GYN? Seriously?

Who in their right mind makes an appointment with their GYN on Valentine's Day?

Six months ago when I made the appointment, the significance of the day never crossed my mind. On February 14th however, it most certainly did. The day romance fills the air with roses, chocolates, and words meant to melt the heart, pure dread filled mine. "Baring it all" for the man in green is not exactly comfortable on any day, but Valentine's Day? Seriously? Not exactly my idea of a romantic encounter!

As I promised last week, I’m going to let you in on a little interesting trivia concerning some names most of us are familiar with. If you haven’t read the Harry Potter series you may not know the names, but their meaning and how J.K. Rowling uses them is really quite intriguing.

"What's in a name? that which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet."

Most of you will recognize the words made famous by William Shakespeare. Romeo & Juliet were star-crossed lovers whose families were bitter rivals, their love forbidden. In Act II of Shakespeare's play, Juliet tells Romeo names of things do not matter--only what they are. She professes it is the Montague person she loves, not the name.

Choosing a character's name for a story is crucial. Try to choose names that are unique and memorable,
